Client Ready Quote System® (CRQS) is BenefitMall’s proprietary quoting and proposal solution that allows brokers to quote for small group benefits. With the ever-changing landscape of health insurance, BenefitMall needed to improve their Brokers' business performance by providing a leading-edge technology solution that supports their client’s business needs, reduces complexity, and maximizes growth for their clients and themselves.
Changing the Landscape
After hosting a broker council meeting and listening to critical feedback, BenefitMall set in motion an initiative to enhance, add flexibility, and modernize their proposal solution. BenefitMall approached Allata to help guide the design and development of the solution. The Allata team collaborated closely with the BenefitMall business leads to identify the highest priorities of the project. The first task was to offer the user much more control and flexibility over their reporting. Ultimately, stored procedures were rewritten using an Entity Framework, which gave Allata’s development team more control in how the data could be transformed. Once the data was made available at a service layer, it could easily be recombined into different layouts as needed. This led to a fully custom solution that could produce rich PDFs or completely functional Excel workbooks, which offered sleek presentability and the ability to customize reports on a dime. Allata was able to fully replace all of BenefitMall’s existing reports and offer the new system side by side with the old system to ensure data confidence and flexibility moving forward.
Re-imagining how work is done
BenefitMall began seeing returns on their investment immediately, and not just from an aesthetic perspective. Allata was able to replace every report in six months allowing BenefitMall to re-envision their client proposal tool and how work is done for their 20,000 trusted advisors. The ability to be highly collaborative and deconstruct, analyze, and rebuild their existing data and reporting system built a substantial amount of trust with BenefitMall.
