AI Platform Customization Drives Sustained User Growth and Expedites Integration Readiness               

A leading provider of networking and connectivity solutions for industrial automation, enterprise networks, and broadcast infrastructure, engaged Allata to implement the Allata AI Accelerator Platform (“AI Accelerator”) to transform manual support processes and centralize fragmented business knowledge. Over the course of three months, Allata delivered a mobile-responsive UX, advanced file management, chat-driven document generation, role-based administrative controls, session memory, integration solutions, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and Agent-to-Agent architecture for future Salesforce Agentforce connectivity. These improvements drove active users from 400 to 1,000 while reducing administrative overhead and saving time.

OVERVIEW 

This phase approach focused on enhancing and extending the client’s implementation of the AI Accelerator to deepen user engagement and enable future integrations. By expanding the platform’s capabilities with advanced features, the client can now support folder uploads, monitor file processing with progress indicators, and leverage chat-based Microsoft Word and Excel image generation. The new platform management functions, such as bulk user actions and role-based permissions, streamlined administrative workflows, and empowered business units with greater autonomy.   

THE CHALLENGE

The first phase of the project was successful, resulting in a significant increase in users, from 400 to nearly 1,000 active users, who helped identify strategic opportunities to customize the platform for specific departmental workflows and enterprise-scale operations.  During this time, users requested enhanced upload and output capabilities to match their specific high-volume document workflows, demonstrating the AI Accelerator’s flexibility to scale with business needs.  

As user adoption increased, our client recognized the need for platform customizations aligned with their unique operational context: 

Cross-Platform Accessibility 
Enable users across all form factors from desktop workstations to tablets and mobile devices. Their diverse workforce needed seamless access to AI capabilities regardless of device, ensuring consistent productivity whether in the office, at home, or in the field. 

Enterprise Administration at Scale 
With user growth approaching 1,000, the client sought enterprise-grade administrative controls that would empower individual business units to manage their own use cases in the AI Accelerator. This included delegated administration for role updates, persona management, and model adjustments without creating IT bottlenecks. 

Strategic Integration Architecture 
The client’s technology roadmap included Salesforce Agentforce integration, necessitating well-documented Agent-to-Agent communication patterns and architecture guidelines to ensure seamless connectivity with their broader enterprise ecosystem.

Allata delivered targeted customizations leveraging the AI Accelerator’s modular platform to address these four strategic priorities: 

  • Cross-Platform Experience 
    Customized responsive design with adaptive interfaces, ensuring seamless functionality across desktop, tablets, and mobile devices based on client needs. This included optimized chat inputs, dynamic UI scaling, and consistent user experience regardless of form factor. 
  • Advanced Document Capabilities 
    Enhanced file handling with folder uploads (up to 100 files / 500 MB), progress indicators, and chat-driven document generation (Microsoft Word, Excel, images). Added session memory and prompt-sharing library to enable team standardization and workflow continuity. 
  • Enterprise-Scale Administration 
    Deployed role-based permissions (Super Admin, Advanced User) with granular controls, bulk user management, and Active Directory integration. This empowered business units to self-manage while maintaining governance standards. 
  • Integration Architecture Foundation 
    Designed integration architecture and solutions leveraging MCP and Agent-to-Agent communication patterns, establishing clear design principles and technical approach for Salesforce Agentforce integration and future enterprise system connections.
